I love it when my granite countertops are all shiny and sparkly, but I am way too frugal to pay for the expensive granite cleaners. So, what is a girl to do?

She finds her own DIY granite cleaner, of course.  I came across this recipe a couple of years ago and have been using it ever since.

This DIY granite cleaner is so easy to make and I promise your granite will sparkle and shine like the day it was installed.

Homemade Granite Cleaner

This natural granite cleaner only takes a few ingredients and minutes to make. Make up a bottle today.

Items you need:

  • rubbing alcohol
  • water
  • dish soap (I love Dawn)
  • essential oils (to make it smell great!)

You will need alcohol, water, and dish soap. I like to use essential oils to make the DIY granite cleaner smell fantastic, too. Start by adding two cups of water and 1/4 cup alcohol to the spray bottle.

Then add about 5-6 drops of dish soap to the spray bottle. I am using Dawn, but you could use any brand. I just use whatever I have in the house.

Finally, I like to add about 10-15 drops of essential oils. The essential oils aren’t necessary, I just like to have a nice smell for the granite cleaner. It takes away from the smell of the alcohol.

I love the smell of the sweet orange for a spray. I am not brand picky with essential oils, but I do love Fabulous Frannie essential oils. I have noticed that they are just as good as the more expensive brands but cost much less.

You can head over here to grab one of their gift sets or just buy one bottle. They are usually less than $5 a bottle.
