Homemade Shower Spray For Mold

If you are dealing with mold or mildew in your shower you can help prevent it by changing things up a little in the shower spray.

Use the same ingredients as above, however, you will also want to add about 20 drops of tea tree oil.

Tea tree oil does a great job of preventing mold and mildew, so by adding it to your DIY shower spray you can help prevent the mold and mildew from starting in your shower.

Keep in mind although tea tree oil prevents mold and mildew by forming the small amount that is in the shower spray won’t get rid of what is currently there. If you already have some mold or mildew you will need to clean it first.

Using It Daily

To use the shower spray you will want to start with a clean shower. Although the DIY shower spray will prevent buildup on your shower, it won’t actually clean it for you.

Once your shower is clean then you can use it every day after you finish showering. Just lightly mist the shower, faucets, and shower door after your shower. As always, I recommend spot testing first on the tile and faucets to make sure you don’t damage your shower.

Just let the DIY shower spray dry. You don’t need to wipe it down or do anything. If you have multiple people using the same shower then have the last person in the shower use it.

It’s just that easy! Although you will need to occasionally clean your shower you will save yourself the heavy-duty scrubbing and elbow grease that you need to clean a shower.

With this simple DIY shower spray you will save yourself the time and frustration of constantly cleaning the shower. Plus, it will help keep the hard water stains away. Say goodbye to mold and mildew with this easy to make homemade shower spray.
