Homemade Goo Gone

Dealing with sticky labels and gunk on stuff? Check out how to make homemade goo gone. Skip the bad smells in regular goo gone and make it yourself with this DIY goo gone recipe.

Recently I was working on a project organizing my kitchen drawers. They had some awful contact paper stuck on them from when we moved in. When I peeled the contact paper up it left behind a sticky mess.

I planned on cleaning up the sticky mess with some goo gone, but I didn’t want to use the stuff you buy in the store. The store-bought goo gone has all sorts of gross ingredients like kerosene and smells bad. I really didn’t want to put that around my cooking utensils.

I decided instead to make up my own goo gone. It works just as well as the store-bought but smells way better.

It took care of the sticky mess on my kitchen drawers quickly and without scrubbing. If you are wanting a good-smelling goo gone check out how to make homemade goo gone.

Easily whip up a batch in 5 minutes.
