Do you like to go out to eat instead of cooking dinner at home? If so, what’s your favorite food to order? Although everyone has their own favorites in that category, sometimes we lean towards cuisines that seem harder to recreate ourselves at home. Chinese food is one of those kinds where we’re not sure where to start when it comes to making it ourselves. While there are definitely some dishes that you’ll need to go outside of your home to get, we have one today that will get you started at least.
Today’s recipe is a slow cooker version of chicken teriyaki which is super simple and tastes just as delicious as something you’d eat at a restaurant. Slow cookers truly can do it all, can’t they?
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 3 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breasts (chopped)
- 3/4 cups of low-sodium soy sauce
- 3/4 cups of brown sugar
- 1/3 cup of rice vinegar
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 3/4 teaspoons of ground ginger
- 4 teaspoons of cornstarch
- 1/4 cup of warm water
- 1/4 cup of finely chopped green onions
