Tired of a messy, greasy kitchen? Check out this easy to make homemade kitchen degreaser. It works great on stoves, ovens, cabinets, and more!

Start by putting a cup of warm water in a spray bottle. I recommend a glass spray bottle because you are using essential oils. I really like this one from Amazon.

Then add in about 2 tablespoons of baking soda. The baking soda will work great to dissolve any of the greases in your kitchen.

Next, add about 1 tsp. of dawn dish soap. Dawn is a fantastic grease fighter in the kitchen and a teaspoon of dawn will go a long way. If you are using a more natural soap like a castile soap you may want to double the amount.

Last you will want to add the essential oils. Lemon and orange essential oils are amazing grease fighters. Plus, they will make your homemade kitchen degreaser smell fantastic.

I am not brand picky with essential oils, but I do love Fabulous Frannie essential oils. I have noticed that they are just as good as the more expensive brands but cost much less. You can head over here to grab one of their gift sets or just buy one bottle. They are usually less than $5 a bottle.

Add about 10 drops of lemon essential oil and about 10 drops of orange essential oil. It doesn’t have to be exact.

Once you have added everything to the spray bottle then add the lid and give it a couple of good shakes. You will want to make sure you get the baking soda completely mixed in or else it will clog the spray bottle.

Now you can start to use the homemade kitchen degreaser. To use just spray a little on the area that needs degreasing.

Then use a cloth or paper towel to wipe up the area. I like to use microfiber cloths to really get all the grease wiped up.

I recommend if it is an area like the stove that might be really greasy you let it sit for 2-3 minutes before wiping it up. Just spray it on and let it soak for a few minutes. Then use a microfiber cloth to wipe it down and clean all the grease away.

This kitchen degreaser works so well in so many spots in the kitchen. I have used it on my counters, the stove, the oven, even on my cabinets. It does an amazing job of removing grease from just about anywhere.

I would recommend you test it in a small inconspicuous spot if you are using it on cabinets or a painted surface.

You also may want to test your countertops depending on what kind they are. It works well on my granite countertops, but marble or other stones may react differently.

With this simple to make homemade kitchen degreaser, you can spend less time cleaning the kitchen and more time enjoying your kitchen. Don’t spend all day cleaning those greasy areas of the kitchen.

Once you start using this kitchen degreaser you will love it! It’s so easy to make and use, plus it is so inexpensive. So quit scrubbing and make up a batch today.
